It's May, so now I am gonna post the completed work from April, but before I get into that I wanted to go over the FYI.
The cost of living has gone up horribly this year along with my rent, so I needed to increase my prices as well. Please see Commission & Prices for the new costs. All estimates I have already provided are valid and won't be changed. Commissions are still open, so feel free to contact me for a quote or a slot! Now with the FYI out of the way, let's cover what aesthetics I did the last month. I worked on a Dollzone Po, an Iplehouse EID Gentle Akando, a pair of Miracle Doll 1/4 girl feet, a Dollmore Kid Sona, and a pair of Fairyland MNF Roller Skates. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break!

It's been a long time since I've posted a blog entry on here, despite having plenty to share. I was gone for 6 weeks spanning through January and February, and got horribly sick again upon getting home. At least I've been healthy this March and have been making up for it!
First and foremost, the FYI: I am finally getting ready to reopen my commission slots, and am planning to open them on my birthday, which is coming up this Saturday, April 1st. This year I'll likely not be doing a sale for that as the cost of living has risen drastically. Speaking of that, I will be raising my base prices by €5-10, as it's been a while since I last did an increase and to be honest, I undercharge for my skill and experience level. This increase won't come until mid April, and of course I will honor all existing estimates. So get your commission forms ready for the next weekend! Now that that's out of the way, here's the list of sculpts I will share work on today: Faceup and body blushing on a FateMoons Puu, faceup on a Dollzone Scorpio, Simply Divine Richard, and a body blushing on a Fairyland MNF A-Line Muscular Boy body with two sets of hands and tattoos. I have more but don't want to make this post eternally long. Also fair warning, there is doll nudity towards the end of this post! Without further ado, onto some pictures! Well, I got hit hard with the crud in December and wasn’t as productive as I hoped I’d be. I did manage some work before I succumbed to illness in the beginning of the month, but it was way less than I planned for. Oh well, at least I did get some things done!
Things I have to show for today are a Popovy Sisters Tawny Owl on Body IV in coral skin, a Fairyland Feeple60 El Elf Event A 2021 head, and a Doll Family-H 1/3 scale Small bust piece. The last two belong together so. Just as a quick warning, this post does contain doll nudity. Without further ado, onto some pictures and blathering under the break! As promised, although delayed, I present to you the remaining faceups for last month. It took me a bit to get to writing the continuation for the November completed faceups, but hey, better late than never!
Today I got quite a bit of work to throw your ways, so be prepared for them! To show today I have a Faewoods Dolls Dahlia Skeleton, a Faewoods Dolls Orchidaceae Frankenstein, a Fairyland RealFee Luna vampire edition, and last but now least I got a trio consisting of Sheepy Dolls Pishu, Puff, and Fluff. So without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! This past month I have been a super busy bee with getting through many commissions, and I ended the month with a solid 11 faceups. I do have another I had started along with a body blush, but I ran out of time to complete them.
I won't be sharing all of them today, because that would make this the blog post that never ends... First up though, the FYI: As I already wrote on my homepage, I am closing commissions Friday, in other words tomorrow, because I want time to finish all the commissions this month, so that I can be away from home guilt free starting January 11th, 2023. I will be gone for 6 weeks, I will be home in the week of February 22nd, 2023. Weird to think that 2022 is almost done with. Thanks for understanding! Today I will share my Faewoods Dolls Orchidaceae, a Charm Doll Eric, a Soom TG Keny, and the Fairyland MNF Ingrid open eyed and sleeping heads. The rest will be shared next week in another blog post. Without further ado, onto some pictures! It's been a hot minute since I've posted on here. I have quite a bit of work to share since I had Covid-19 again the first two weeks of August. I have been posting the collages to the Examples section here, along with some new owner pics as well.
Despite this run of Covid being mild, it still fatigued me horribly and it's taken me quite a while to get back into the swing of working on commissions. I have finished 5 faceups, 2 body blushes, and some fantasy parts since then. Today I will only share the work I still completed in August, otherwise it's just too long of a blog post. Things to share are a Fairyland MNF Alicia, a Popovy Sisters Blue Jay and her body, and a Soom Heliot Fantasy head from the Cosmos release. Without further ado, onto the pictures and ramblings under the break! 2021 has come and gone, and we are 3 days into 2022. What a year 2021 was too... I got severe burnout, caught covid, lost my job, my wife lost her job, rebuilt my mental health, established goals for my future and how I want to proceed, and generally I focused on myself. I'm grateful we had the resources for me to do so.
Dollwise I wasn't as proactive as in previous years, as I only managed 30 faceups in 2021, and 39 in 2020. These two last years have been really hard on everyone. I did manage to crank out a couple more things in December 2021, so I will post those now. I got to finish painting the Iplehouse HID Woman hands, Miracle Doll 1/4 Girl hands, Sugarble Darlene, Dollpamm Loli girl body, a Fairyland RLF Luna, and a Fairyland MNF Miyu. Be prepared for a long post. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! I am finally back home and on the mend from pneumonia in both of my lungs due to Covid-19. I'm not fully recovered yet (that'll take time) but I am regaining strength everyday. I will though resume working on commissions this weekend as I am no longer contagious and can handle the commissions again without risking infecting my clients with this nasty virus.
I did receive a few more commissions for faceups, and gotta finish up some other full body ones as well. Once I re-open slots again, I will post here and on the home-page. Anyway today I have only two faceups to show, a Fairyland Pukifee Cupid in tan skin, and my Dollzone Mann in peach skin. Without further ado, onto the pictures under the break! Okay, I am still bad at updating here, and I apologize for that. With the holidays I had little time to devote to the website or faceup work. That'll be my New Year's Resolution, keep up to date better (like I told myself at the beginning of this year, and we all know how that went).
Anyway, today I will show a Fairyland RealFee Pano, a MYOU Grace, and an Iplehouse J.I.D. Benny. I only have 2 faceups and 4 body blushes left to do, and I can finally reopen commissions. The end is nigh! Without further ado, pictures under the read more break. I've been really dropping the ball here, and I want to apologize for that. 2020 has been getting to me like everyone else, and the weather as well as my day job have been wearing me down. But, I am still trying to work through my backlog.
This post will show a lot of new work, such as the Resinsoul Twilight centaur body, Resinsoul Dai body, jointed hands in SD and MSD size from Resinsoul, a Fairyland MNF Dark Elf Soo, and my Doll in Mind Bellosse. Without further ado, onto the pictures under the cut! I have a bit of work to show again from the last weekend (not this one yet)! I'm hoping to get through the neck mod and the eyebrow repaint for a very patient commissioner. The neck just needs to be smoothed out now, and the eyebrows will get repainted today.
But anyway, work I can show today is as follows: face ups on an Angel Philia K and M, and on a modded Fairyland MNF Chloe (a previous owner added elf ears). The two AP girls have natural face ups, and the MNF has a glam/fantasy face up. The FYI relates to my prices, the COVID-19 virus, my birthday, and what this means for the near future. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! I managed to work my way through two face ups the past few days as the weather wasn't always ideal. But at least I did manage to work on a Dollshe Saint SA and a Fairyland Chicline Inu! They were both very different ideas (and sizes!) and I had fun with both. Only a small post today!
Now without further ado, onto some pictures under the read more break! As the title says, only 2 days remain to partake in the Birthday Sale! Buy one service, get another at 30% off! Also I managed to crank out another commission, this time I repainted a Fairyland PukiFee Luna in tan skin. I matched her eyebrows and eyelashes to her wig, she turned out darling if I may say so. Without further ado, onto some pictures! The wig is a short little curly thing that is absolutely adorable, but I sadly don't have any pictures of it placed against her faceplate with the finished face up. I wasn't sent her eyes so I used the only pair I had in my jar that fit her eye-wells. In other news, I'm nearly completion with the Crobidoll Daydream Lance commission. His torso is mostly blushed, and his hands and feet are also just about done. Next come his arms and legs! No pictures currently as I'd only have some cell phone shots and they really don't show things well.
That's all from me for now, until next time! It's been a bit since I've last face upped, but I finally have some new work to show! This time I painted a Fairyland MNF Shushu in natural skin and even gave her a fresh manicure as her last was a nightmare to remove. Without further ado, onto some pictures! So here she is, she's gonna be styled as a pastel goth once back in my friend's hands. I had a lot of fun with brows making them so bushy and big, usually I do more delicate ones but her previous face up had bold brows too so I ran with it. And once again, lovely ombre lips of black and purple! One of my favorite color combinations for sure. She does have painted lip lines, they are just hard to see in the pictures from the gloss. The hands were fun too, I gave the ring-fingers an accent nail color to tie back into the face up colors. Also, my sale is still going. Heads/Parts do need to be ready to be sent my way, so please keep that in mind when contacting me for the "Buy 1, Get 1 30% Off" offer! Please don't hesitate to reach out for a commission, now is an excellent time to do so, there's very little that I'm unwilling to do customization-wise!
Until next time! Cranked out a couple more face ups this week, one on a Fairyland MNF Momo and the other on my own Resinsoul Ai. I finally reached 400 completed face ups since I started painting dolls in August/September of 2011! The MNF Momo was a commission from a dear local friend, and the Resinsoul Ai is one of my own. Without further ado, onto some pictures! First up we have the Fairyland MNF Momo in natural skin. She belongs to a dear friend of mine, who also asked me to make her some eyes. I let them pick the color (lavender) and made them with acrylic bases in 12mm. 14mm eyes were far too big and her original eyes were also way too dark. She had come to me with a Default face up (and too big eyes), but my friend wanted her to be a lot more pink. The default face up was very pretty, but not exactly flattering, especially how they did her mouth. And here we have my Resinsoul Ai in fleshtone skin from 2011 named Zephyra. This face up is very special as it is my 400th! I finally reached this wonderful milestone, and to celebrate it I repainted Zephyra. It's tradition for me to repaint her every 99 face ups to be the next 100th. I always keep the theme the same, so that I can track my improvement better. Hard to believe that it only took 2 years to paint 99 face ups (and a bunch of fantasy and body parts) to get here. She's gone through so many face ups, only doll with that many in my collection is Val (Dollzone Chen), who I think I've also painted 5 times. I'll need to check at some point to see. Again, for this face up I used Citadel Munitorum Varnish for sealant, and I'm still having difficulties with it. It has a lot less tooth than MSC, so I had to layer quite a bit more than I usually do. But, shimmer shows up much better post-sealing with this sealant. MSC likes to pretty much dull it away unless I paint it on. Reaching 400 face ups also means that I can share my monster collage again. On my computer it's all one very long image file, but I broke it apart here so it's easier to zoom in and look at the face ups.
Man... I started this collage when I reached 50 face ups, that's why the first image was really.... diverse in backgrounds. I eventually figured out that keeping the same background is a better idea for unity! It also wasn't until last year that I got a photo light box to take pictures in. My documentation pictures definitely improved once I acquired one of those. Still learning how to set my camera for it so I don't have to do as much post-photo color and lighting corrections. That is all from me for today, until next time! |
