Well, I got hit hard with the crud in December and wasn’t as productive as I hoped I’d be. I did manage some work before I succumbed to illness in the beginning of the month, but it was way less than I planned for. Oh well, at least I did get some things done!
Things I have to show for today are a Popovy Sisters Tawny Owl on Body IV in coral skin, a Fairyland Feeple60 El Elf Event A 2021 head, and a Doll Family-H 1/3 scale Small bust piece. The last two belong together so. Just as a quick warning, this post does contain doll nudity. Without further ado, onto some pictures and blathering under the break!

This past month I have been a super busy bee with getting through many commissions, and I ended the month with a solid 11 faceups. I do have another I had started along with a body blush, but I ran out of time to complete them.
I won't be sharing all of them today, because that would make this the blog post that never ends... First up though, the FYI: As I already wrote on my homepage, I am closing commissions Friday, in other words tomorrow, because I want time to finish all the commissions this month, so that I can be away from home guilt free starting January 11th, 2023. I will be gone for 6 weeks, I will be home in the week of February 22nd, 2023. Weird to think that 2022 is almost done with. Thanks for understanding! Today I will share my Faewoods Dolls Orchidaceae, a Charm Doll Eric, a Soom TG Keny, and the Fairyland MNF Ingrid open eyed and sleeping heads. The rest will be shared next week in another blog post. Without further ado, onto some pictures! Thank you to everyone that has commissioned me since I opened up commissions in October. It took a bit to get my slots filled up, so I haven't officially closed commissions yet. October I didn't have terribly much to work on, but I do have some things to share! Today I am only sharing the work I did in October, November has already been busy and it's only day 9.
Things I worked on and completed in October are a Popovy Sisters Bony on the Body III, then a Popovy Sisters Little Owl on the Body II, a Frappzilla Moon Polaris, and my Kana Doll No. 8 Lucien. Please note that there is full doll nudity in this post as I did two body blushes. Without further ado, onto some pictures below the break! Another month (July) has come and gone, and I have a couple of new faceups to show. I have sadly been sick with the plague, again, but at least it is a mild run of it.
While I've been recovering from Covid I have been slowly working on my own dolls, as I do not want to germ all over commissions. Today I'm gonna go and get retested to see if I am still contagious or not. Anyway, dolls to post are a Dream Valley Abu, a Faewoods Dolls Freesia, a MYOU DouDou and a Dollzone April. So without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! I've been a bit scattered this month due to various reasons, but I was able to finish 3 more faceups, so that's a positive end for this month for sure. Two commissions, and one I squeezed in for myself as well after a setback with one commission that is still a WIP, but that is okay, I am able to continue on it this week.
I do have a couple WIPs on my desk currently, and 2 more incoming from April (shipping from the USA to Austria can be really, really slow!). Once I get through those, I will reopen slots. Currently I am aiming for mid to late June for opening slots again. So keep your eyes peeled, I will post here for sure when I am able to take on new commissions! Anyway, today I'm going to show an April Story Juliet with an eye mod, my Dollzone Minas, and a Gem of Doll Capricorn plus her horns. Without further ado, onto the pictures under the read more break! Thank you so much to everyone that took advantage of my birthday sale, it makes me really happy to have such a positive response. You guys are really making me feel loved! I am about to close slots again until I work through all these commissions that are incoming. I have the best clients I swear!
Anyway, I have a lot of new work to show! Today I will show the detail shots of the Dream Valley Zhao and his fantasy parts, a set of Doll Family-H SD sized male jointed hands, a Lillycat Lyse, my MYOU DouDou, a Felix Doll Brownie NeNe, and a Dollzone Miss Kitty and her ears. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the read more break! I've been super productive this month, not only did I do 6 faceups, but I also finished a manicure, a gender mod, and the long leg tattoos on a long-time commission. I feel pretty good about all the work I've done so far! I will break up the work into a couple of posts over the next few days, or the post will just go on forever.
The little FYI I want to cover is that I am going to start charging for old faceup removal, as that takes a lot of effort and time, and even materials. I sometimes sit as long as 1.5 hours at removing a faceup thoroughly so I can do my own. Charges start at €5, and can go up if the faceup is hard to remove. Thank you for understanding! Anyway, sculpts I will show today are a Napalm Doll Hush and her hands, an Asleep Eidolon Agnes (who got the gender mod from angel to girl body), and a Dollmore Judith Zinna. Let's hop on under the read more break for the pictures! It is that time again to post new faceups I've completed the past month. I've also closed for new slots for the time being as I have a lot of commissions to get through, for which I am very grateful! Once I get down to only two remaining commissions, I will reopen slots.
I'm currently working on 3 heads at once on my desk, most of which are natural based so it should take too long to get those done. Another multipart commission arrived this morning while I was faceupping, so that is exciting too. As for the FYI, I have restructured how I price my faceups. Instead of charging based on the doll's height, I am going to go off head size, as I should have ages ago. When I first started faceupping, most dolls had the same head sizes within their respective ranges, but now there is so much variety that I needed to clarify my pricing. That way I won't be over- or under-charging for the work that goes into my faceups. I am of course honoring all the current estimates that I have already accepted. To get a better idea of my pricing, please head on over to the Commission & Prices page. Anyway, today I will show the faceups I completed in January 2022. Sculpts to show are a Popovy Sisters Blue Jay, twin Doll Family-A, and a Moonlight Jewel Dolls Aylean. Pictures and commentary are under the read more break! 2021 has come and gone, and we are 3 days into 2022. What a year 2021 was too... I got severe burnout, caught covid, lost my job, my wife lost her job, rebuilt my mental health, established goals for my future and how I want to proceed, and generally I focused on myself. I'm grateful we had the resources for me to do so.
Dollwise I wasn't as proactive as in previous years, as I only managed 30 faceups in 2021, and 39 in 2020. These two last years have been really hard on everyone. I did manage to crank out a couple more things in December 2021, so I will post those now. I got to finish painting the Iplehouse HID Woman hands, Miracle Doll 1/4 Girl hands, Sugarble Darlene, Dollpamm Loli girl body, a Fairyland RLF Luna, and a Fairyland MNF Miyu. Be prepared for a long post. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! I have been such a busy bee this past month, and have lots of new work to show. So much in fact that I will need to split them up over two blog posts as to not be utterly overwhelming. It really is a lot!
Today I will show my Volks YoSD Ayumu, a Dollshe Molly, and my Resinsoul Ai, who is my 500th completed faceup. This also means I will post my giant faceup collage. I will need to start a new one! Without further ado, onto the pictures under the cut! I have finished quite a few faceups recently, so I have a lot to share today! A couple are for myself, and some commissions too. My slots are still open, and I have only a couple more to get through before I can send this batch back.
Faceups today are on an Asleep Eidolon Col, LoongSoul Black Dragon Xunalong, then 2 Smart Doll Cortex heads, and a Lost Chronicles Allurial. The Loongsoul and the Lost Chronicle heads are both for me. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! I have managed to send off all the remaining boxes of commissions I had completed so it was time to re-open slots! If you've been waiting for a chance to commission me, now is the time!
Anyway, I have a couple of new faceups to share here today! In today's post I will show a Doll Leaves Evan with the long elf ears, a LoongSoul ShenLuo beast version (whose faceup I don't really like how it turned out, but I will redo it at a later date), and a Telesthesia Doll Long Tianqi. All of them are my own dolls. Without further ado, onto the pictures under the break! It's been quite a while since I've posted a blog update here, so for once I am doing the FYI first and then I will go over the new work I've completed. It's quite a bit, some personal work, and I will put the images under the read more break as usual.
The FYI I will keep above it as I feel it is important to make it properly visible without needing to open the blog post. ------- The FYI: I've really dropped the ball for several months now, and I would like to apologize for that. I've been struggling with my mental health more so than usual, and dealing with the post-Covid-19 effects has been draining and tiring. I lost my job right when I got sick with Covid-19 and have been on sick leave since trying to recover both physically and mentally. I'd also like to thank everyone who has or wants to commission me for your patience. My communication has been spotty at best the last 7 months... I am almost done with my humongous commission backlog, there's one left where I am waiting on the approval on the mod-plan before I dive into that one as well. The rest just need to be mailed (though every remaining box requires custom forms). Since July 1st, the EU has implemented a new system for taxing packages and goods from abroad (outside of the EU). There is no more minimum threshold for avoiding VAT charges (which are 20% of the declared value in Austria), which certainly puts a damper on things... I am still willing to accept non-EU commissions, but please be aware that the client/commissioner will be accountable for the custom fees. Another thing I want to touch on is that I can only accept 1 full body commission per openings. And the more complex it is the longer it's gonna take me. I'm sorry, I just don't want to fall as far behind as this past year. Thank you for understanding! ------ New Work: Now that that is all written down, let me go over what sculpts I worked on the past few months: For faceups I repainted my Dollzone Daomiao-2 (again) and for body work I finished up the Doll Leaves 43cm V2 Girl body blush, as well as 3 sets of Resinsoul MSD Jointed Hands. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! I am finally back home and on the mend from pneumonia in both of my lungs due to Covid-19. I'm not fully recovered yet (that'll take time) but I am regaining strength everyday. I will though resume working on commissions this weekend as I am no longer contagious and can handle the commissions again without risking infecting my clients with this nasty virus.
I did receive a few more commissions for faceups, and gotta finish up some other full body ones as well. Once I re-open slots again, I will post here and on the home-page. Anyway today I have only two faceups to show, a Fairyland Pukifee Cupid in tan skin, and my Dollzone Mann in peach skin. Without further ado, onto the pictures under the break! The weather has been a rollercoaster here, so working on stuff has been difficult. But I do have several things to post today, such as the last faceup of 2020. I haven't been doing so well health-wise, but I am arranging for the help that I need to get back on track with things.
Today I will post my Doll Chateau Elizabeth, a Dollzone Venus Halo, and a Modoll Hide Matsumoto minimee head. Without further ado, onto the pictures under the break! |
