Hello and welcome back everyone! November is half a month back and I'm just now getting to posting the work I completed that past month.
It wasn't a lot as commissions have slowed to a halt since then, but hey, some is better than none! I do need to advertise my commissions properly again, though at this time of year there are fewer commissions due to the holiday season and events from doll companies. Just a quick touch on the FYI: I raised my prices by €5 each service. Rent has gone up, again, and gas and electric prices are sky high, so I gotta adjust my prices accordingly to survive. Thank you for understanding. All existing estimates will be honored of course! Anyway, things to show today are the two Fairyland RealFee girl bodies, a Dream Valley Olivia and her bunny ears, and my own Dollzone Raymond-1, who newly arrived. So without further ado, onto some pictures under the break!

It's May, so now I am gonna post the completed work from April, but before I get into that I wanted to go over the FYI.
The cost of living has gone up horribly this year along with my rent, so I needed to increase my prices as well. Please see Commission & Prices for the new costs. All estimates I have already provided are valid and won't be changed. Commissions are still open, so feel free to contact me for a quote or a slot! Now with the FYI out of the way, let's cover what aesthetics I did the last month. I worked on a Dollzone Po, an Iplehouse EID Gentle Akando, a pair of Miracle Doll 1/4 girl feet, a Dollmore Kid Sona, and a pair of Fairyland MNF Roller Skates. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! Another rotation around the sun and I am a year older as of yesterday. This past year has been full of ups and downs, making me sick at times. I'm going to ease gently into this new year and keep my expectations modest haha. I didn't extend the contract of the job past my trial month, so now I am back to looking for something more fitting.
Since it was my 33rd birthday on April 1st, how about a special birthday sale? Commission one service, and get the second at 33% off! Discount will be applied to the smaller amount. I'm officially reopening slots for this month as I am nearly done with all my outstanding commissions! By the time the new commissions arrive I should be done with the others. Anyway, I got some faceups to share here! One is a Volks SD Belle in pure skin normal, and the other is my Iplehouse EID Camilla in peach gold skin. I have a couple more things to document, so those I will share in another post. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the read more break! It is that time again to post new faceups I've completed the past month. I've also closed for new slots for the time being as I have a lot of commissions to get through, for which I am very grateful! Once I get down to only two remaining commissions, I will reopen slots.
I'm currently working on 3 heads at once on my desk, most of which are natural based so it should take too long to get those done. Another multipart commission arrived this morning while I was faceupping, so that is exciting too. As for the FYI, I have restructured how I price my faceups. Instead of charging based on the doll's height, I am going to go off head size, as I should have ages ago. When I first started faceupping, most dolls had the same head sizes within their respective ranges, but now there is so much variety that I needed to clarify my pricing. That way I won't be over- or under-charging for the work that goes into my faceups. I am of course honoring all the current estimates that I have already accepted. To get a better idea of my pricing, please head on over to the Commission & Prices page. Anyway, today I will show the faceups I completed in January 2022. Sculpts to show are a Popovy Sisters Blue Jay, twin Doll Family-A, and a Moonlight Jewel Dolls Aylean. Pictures and commentary are under the read more break! I have managed to send off all the remaining boxes of commissions I had completed so it was time to re-open slots! If you've been waiting for a chance to commission me, now is the time!
Anyway, I have a couple of new faceups to share here today! In today's post I will show a Doll Leaves Evan with the long elf ears, a LoongSoul ShenLuo beast version (whose faceup I don't really like how it turned out, but I will redo it at a later date), and a Telesthesia Doll Long Tianqi. All of them are my own dolls. Without further ado, onto the pictures under the break! Since I am on vacation this week, I have decided I'm gonna crank out as many face ups and commissions as I can. It's been a little bit of a slow start due to various reasons, including taking some time to myself, but I have laid out what I need to work on and am making a plan! I modded and painted an Impldoll Azalea basic elf (she is now human), and I painted my own Simple Divine Thomas head.
Before I show those, first the FYI: I have reopened commissions for limited slots, as I assume I will be able to get through most of my current ones by the time the new ones arrive. I apologize for the great delay in finishing the large full body commissions I got. I promise to get them done soon! Now onto the pictures! I have a bit of work to show again from the last weekend (not this one yet)! I'm hoping to get through the neck mod and the eyebrow repaint for a very patient commissioner. The neck just needs to be smoothed out now, and the eyebrows will get repainted today.
But anyway, work I can show today is as follows: face ups on an Angel Philia K and M, and on a modded Fairyland MNF Chloe (a previous owner added elf ears). The two AP girls have natural face ups, and the MNF has a glam/fantasy face up. The FYI relates to my prices, the COVID-19 virus, my birthday, and what this means for the near future. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! I was finally able to finish up a large commission a day or two ago! It consisted of 3 SD heads and two pet dolls. The heads I had already finished and posted over a week ago, but the two pet dolls, LoongSoul Poi, I finished up this week. I'm quite pleased with them as is the client!
If you don't want to read through my blathering about the two dragons, just skip down to the bolded FYI section to find out the news. It is in regards to when I'll reopen slots again. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! I was able to crank out a new face up this past weekend on a Volks DDH-07 head, and I was able to ship her back yesterday. I had a lot of fun with the galaxy theme for her.
At the end of the post I got an FYI/News tidbit, so be sure to read beyond the break! Without further ado, onto some pictures under the cut! As the title says, only 2 days remain to partake in the Birthday Sale! Buy one service, get another at 30% off! Also I managed to crank out another commission, this time I repainted a Fairyland PukiFee Luna in tan skin. I matched her eyebrows and eyelashes to her wig, she turned out darling if I may say so. Without further ado, onto some pictures! The wig is a short little curly thing that is absolutely adorable, but I sadly don't have any pictures of it placed against her faceplate with the finished face up. I wasn't sent her eyes so I used the only pair I had in my jar that fit her eye-wells. In other news, I'm nearly completion with the Crobidoll Daydream Lance commission. His torso is mostly blushed, and his hands and feet are also just about done. Next come his arms and legs! No pictures currently as I'd only have some cell phone shots and they really don't show things well.
That's all from me for now, until next time! I had an itch to repaint one of my dolls, specifically my Dollzone April, because I didn't like how badly I over-blushed her. So shortly after completing my 400th face up, I'm already on my 401st! I also have an exciting FYI to share with you guys at the end of the post! Without further ado, onto some pictures! So here's my girls new face up! I kept the colors the same, just with much less blushing and switched up the designs a bit since the bangs of her wig hid the ones going up her head. I sadly fudged up the lips in the glossing stage, so I had to paint over them again. Oh well, better luck next time I suppose! Here you can see how much (or little) the face up changed. Also made her some bright green acrylic eyes, as the orange-hazel ones I'd made her previously made her look much too samey all over.
Now for the FYI! My 30th birthday is coming up fast here (April 1st, yes I am a joke and tell terrible jokes), so I wanted to do something special for it! How does 30% off sound to you guys? Rules are simple, they apply to any multipart commission I receive: Contact me from now until April 15th for a slot (I'll also honor multipart commissions I haven't received yet) for more than one service (i.e.: two face ups, body blush and face up, face up and manicure, etc...), pay one service full price, and any additional service will be 30% off! The most expensive service will be the full price one, and any additional ones will be at the discount. I'm willing again to take on up to 3 services per slot again, as I'm still trying to get a job so I have some time still. But do keep in mind that it will extend my turnaround time if I have more than one part to work on per slot! That's all from me for now, until next time! Just as the title says, I'm open for more commissions again! I completed everything I received faster than anticipated so I was able to re-open before the month was up as well!. My new prices have gone into effect as well, so please be aware of them. Anyone that's already gotten a quote from me won't be affected as I'll honor those. I also was able to finish the last face up in my possession, on a Mithral Dolls Mirage in dark tan. She belongs to a dear friend of mine and I'm so glad she let me work on the second shell for the character. Without further ado, onto some pictures! The doll is a wonderful chocolate tan, which can be tricky to blush as the pastels change after you seal them. They always look lighter at first, fortunately I've worked on such dark resin before and can safely assume how it'll look once sealed.
I can't wait to see her styled by her owner! I loved the old shell too, but this new one is fantastic for the character. At least she no longer has a white wig, so I didn't have to battle with white eyebrows/lashes! That's all from me for now, until next time! I hope everyone had a good Holiday season with much cheer and merriment! As well as a good slide into the new year. My holiday was a little hectic, but it ended on a high note, so that's good. To finish up 2018 I painted one more doll, a Doll Family-A BoBo in white skin. He ended up becoming a Koi fish that I'm gifting to a dear local friend and their kids. And the Impldoll Colby arrived and is in process already, but no pictures yet as I need to send some to the owner to see what they think. The FYI will come at the end! Anyway, onto some pictures! Here he is in all his fishy glory! I did brush a ton of shimmer powder on him, which is very subtle along the fins after sealing. Also I swapped out his brown acrylic eyes for these red glass ones to make him really glow!
Now for the FYI: It's been a long time since I've upped my prices, and I feel my work has advanced enough to raise them by €5 on each basic tier. I meant to raise them last year around my birthday, but never did. This time the price increase will come on February 1st, so January will still have my current pricing. I wish for you all to have the best year yet in 2019! Here's to the future!! I've been a busy bee this past week! I received a large commission the previous week and was able to sit down this week and start on it. It included a Doll in Mind Flowne, a Miracle Doll 44cm Jing, two Flower & Junior Mizi.W heads, and a Resinsoul Sui and Nian. The two Resinsoul dolls also get fantasy parts and body blushes. So far I've I've finished the floating heads, and have restrung the RS Sui as well as sueded him. He also sustained a broken finger in transit, so I fixed that too. Without further ado, onto some pictures! Here is the Doll in Mind Flowne in white skin. Her theme was pink (clearly), and to paint a heart on one of her cheeks. I had a lot of fun with her! She came with a face up already that had sadly chipped, so I tried to recreate it with my own touch. Then here we have the two Flower & Junior Mizi.W heads in white skin. They are sisters but with opposite color schemes. The client wanted fantasy face ups for them, but sans swirls as their child is scared of them. So I did some dots instead into the eyeshadow. The client is happy with the work and so am I! And last, but certainly not least, is the Miracle Doll Jing 44cm in normal skin. Her color scheme is white and blue and coming up with a way of doing fantasy sans swirls and working around the additional 3 eye holes was a challenge. At one point I had to wipe what I'd done as fantasy because it was simply waaaay too much. Sometimes less really is more!
Now for the FYI: I start a new job on Monday, it is a full time position with 40 hours a week. I'm really looking forward to it! But that also means that my turn around rate will go up due to only being able to paint on weekends. Please bear with me as I adjust to a new schedule. I will do my best to still get your dears back to you as soon as I can! Until next time! This past weekend I painted an old gal, a Blue Fairy Tiny Fairy Xiao from 2005. The client has had her since then and felt that she needed a make over and contacted me with the task. I was happy to repaint the girl into a sweeter expression.
I had a small mishap on the finishing touches and ended up having to paint her twice (I managed to scratch the face up as I was glueing eyelashes in place). Anyway, without further ado, onto some pictures and the FYI under the break! |
