First of all, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who partook in my birthday sale, and who has commissioned me outside of it too! You guys rock and make this passion and hobby of mine possible! Anyway, I managed to get a good start on all the commissions I still have currently on me! One is a Doll in Mind Benetia on a Miracel Doll MSD girl body, both in white skin, but I've only got the face up done so far. I also started working on the Doll Leaves Alisa by modding some fangs onto her per the client's request. I managed to finish up the body blush on the Crobidoll R-Line Evolve body in normal skin and sent him and his head back home! Without further ado, onto some pictures! First up is the Crobidoll body, he's an older one so I had to do some extra pink blushing along the hands and neck to make him match better to his newer head. I'm glad he's done and I'm hoping the client will like the work in person too! After getting permission from the client, I also gave his bangs a trim, as they covered his lovely eyes! Then here we have the Doll in Mind Benetia in white skin. She was fun to bloody-up! Her Miracle Doll body will get a similar treatment! The eyes were made by me too (acrylic bases with digitally drawn and then printed irises), now she's extra spooky! Then here's the Doll Leaves Alisa in normal skin with her fang mod so far. She's gonna be a gothic beauty as well! No blood though on her. And last, but certainly not least, are the three 3D printed Pipa instruments I'm going to paint for a client. I assembled them so far and glued everything in place, so now all that's left is sealing and painting!
So much fun work still ahead of me. That's all from me for now, until next time!

I'm still being a busy bee with getting through my commissions. I only have 2 left as I'm still waiting on them to arrive! This past week I managed to complete two more commissions, one is a modded Volks DDH-04 and the other is a Doll in Mind Chloe. Without further ado, onto some pictures! First up is the modded Volks DDH-04 in semi-white skin. She came with a previous artist's face up, which I wiped and then I modded some elf ears onto her. Next I did her face up as well as her facial tattoo based off of a character in Dragon Age if I'm not mistaken. I'm the first to admit that anime-styled face ups are hard for me to pull off, but I'm dang proud of this one! Then here we have the Doll in Mind Chloe in normal skin. She also came with a previous face up, which took a lot more effort to come off, but in the end she was ready to be painted too. She went from a sweet to a gothic little girl. I need to make her some new eyes, red ones! That'll be fun too.
Now that we got these two face ups out of the way, I need to pay the ransom fee for another commission box to be picked up on Monday. Sadly my post office is closed today, but I was able to ship some out at a different post office. That is all for now, until next time! I've been a busy bee this past week! I received a large commission the previous week and was able to sit down this week and start on it. It included a Doll in Mind Flowne, a Miracle Doll 44cm Jing, two Flower & Junior Mizi.W heads, and a Resinsoul Sui and Nian. The two Resinsoul dolls also get fantasy parts and body blushes. So far I've I've finished the floating heads, and have restrung the RS Sui as well as sueded him. He also sustained a broken finger in transit, so I fixed that too. Without further ado, onto some pictures! Here is the Doll in Mind Flowne in white skin. Her theme was pink (clearly), and to paint a heart on one of her cheeks. I had a lot of fun with her! She came with a face up already that had sadly chipped, so I tried to recreate it with my own touch. Then here we have the two Flower & Junior Mizi.W heads in white skin. They are sisters but with opposite color schemes. The client wanted fantasy face ups for them, but sans swirls as their child is scared of them. So I did some dots instead into the eyeshadow. The client is happy with the work and so am I! And last, but certainly not least, is the Miracle Doll Jing 44cm in normal skin. Her color scheme is white and blue and coming up with a way of doing fantasy sans swirls and working around the additional 3 eye holes was a challenge. At one point I had to wipe what I'd done as fantasy because it was simply waaaay too much. Sometimes less really is more!
Now for the FYI: I start a new job on Monday, it is a full time position with 40 hours a week. I'm really looking forward to it! But that also means that my turn around rate will go up due to only being able to paint on weekends. Please bear with me as I adjust to a new schedule. I will do my best to still get your dears back to you as soon as I can! Until next time! This month has been exceptionally slow for commissions, but that's okay! There's always next month too, where I have some commissions lined up already. Anyway, the new work I got to show is one for myself, and one was a commission from a dear friend! My own is a Doll in Mind Gayane in normal skin, who'd been a gift from a friend before I left the USA. The commission is a Youlpa Dolls Zenji in normal skin. Without further ado, onto some pictures! First up the commission, the Youlpa Dolls Zenji in normal skin, I think at least. He's meant to look like he hasn't slept in ages, and lives off of coffee and caffeine in general. It was a lot of fun to give him mighty eyebrows and eye circles. That's why I love commissions, I get to paint things on dolls I'd never think of doing with my own even! He's a floating head currently, but my friend is saving up for a body for him. Then here's Autumn, my Doll in Mind Gayane. She's got quite the history being a gift from a friend! She'd been her first doll, after I snared her into the hobby. She fell out of love with her and decided to gift her to me shortly before my move. My wife and I were going to take her with us on the plane as all our stuff had already been mailed by that point, including all but one of our other dolls. We hit some big snafu's on the flight, like our carry-ons being too heavy, so we had to check one of them. One of our suitcases was too heavy as well so we had to leave a bunch of stuff behind with a friend, one of them being Autumn. My friend finally was able to mail her back to me this past month, but her head-cap wasn't included. She hasn't found it yet, so while she searches, I made her one out of Fimo and magnets to tide her over. Here's her before and after I repainted her. She had had a default face up, which was pretty, but it's no secret I have to paint all my own dolls or I can't bond with them. I'm slowly working on modding her body to be better functioning.
The DiM Happy Glamour Body is... janky at best. I restrung her with fresh elastic, and elongated the elastic slots on her thighs. Next up is hollowing out her hip sockets so she stops rocking back on her butt and finally sits up straight. I've never done mobility mods like this before, so it's kind of exciting! Anyway, this is all for now! I'm still open for commission as my slots aren't filled. I'm itching to paint more dolls! Maybe I'll repaint my Fairyland LTF DES next... Until next time! This weekend was a busy one for me! I completed the face up I showed last time, and did a full one as well on top of it. The Doll in Mind Rain just got his last touches this morning (gloss) and he was approved fully as well so he's ready to go home. Then the other face up I did was on my wife's Luts HDF Centaur Madeleine in real skin brown. Anyway, onto some pictures! First up is the Doll in Mind Rain in normal skin. He was a very interesting face up for me to work on. Then here we have the Luts HDF Madeleine in real skin brown. We're still waiting on her proper wig to arrive, but it's in customs right now so it should be here by the end of the week! Entertainingly enough it'll get here right while my wife is out of state. Whoops!
Happy new year everyone! I made it back to the USA roughly a week ago and jumped straight back to work at my day job. I just got done with a 6 day work week. That was exhausting! Anyway, I put live my new prices, a $5 increase for each size, and I decided to charge extra for fantasy face ups again as they do take me a lot longer than a basic/natural one. I also changed that I'll ask for half up front for payment, and the rest when I'm done and have the work approved. I also offer layaway for jobs totaling a minimum of $100. Now for the WIP. I did find some time to finally get working on the Doll in Mind Rain USPS lost for a while and arrived late to me. I'm not done yet, I'm about 2/3 there though! Things I still need to add with him are red to the eyebrows, eye details, and robins egg blue coloring to the outer corner of the lips. I'll be able to work on him more tomorrow, today I'm too tired after working again.
