The weather's nice today so I was able to get to MCAD to use the spray booth in the morning.
Here we have Lacey, a Loong Soul NuanNuan. She still needs her back tattoos finished up. I got one done, she still needs a big butterfly on her upper back.
Well I was going to go face up today, but the weather is uncooperative.
This is the view that greeted me this morning. Unfortunately, my car is terrible at handling snow, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to work on the Loong Soul NuanNuan.
According to the forecast the snow is going to let up tomorrow morning. Right now it's still snowing and I'd rather not drive for over an hour when normally it only takes 25 minutes to get to MCAD (that's where I face up in the winter because of a spray booth).
I finally had some spare time to give my partner's Sweet Dolls Allison Elf a new face up. He's a gorgeous tan color.
I also have a before and after picture of his default face up next to my own.
I love taking before and after pictures, and this one is quite striking!
It always amazes me how different a doll looks with a face up compared to blank.
Here are some detail shots of my latest commission. He's been approved, all she wants added is eyelashes. Simple enough luckily.
He really was fun to work on. This was my first time doing a full beard on a face up, I've done a mustache and goatee before, but this takes the cake. At least it looks pretty natural in my opinion.
Finally got around to working on the Iplehouse Shane that arrived. I did it before I had to go to work, so now I'll have to wait until I get home to take proper pictures of him.
Crappy cell phone picture activate! He looks a lot better in person, I swear!
Yesterday a new head for me to work on arrived, an Iplehouse Shane. I must say, he's gorgeous! He's going to be fun to work on.
He's going to be a natural face up with rugged features such as a beard. I got more MSC being delivered to me as we speak because I'm down to less than half a can. It's quite sad that I let it get so low. At least I'm getting 3 cans of it on Wednesday. I do have a giant can of Purity Seal, which is nice, but I prefer the MSC for commission work.
I got to working on the tiny Nabiyette Elf from Graden of Dolls yesterday. She was so tiny but I'm still rather pleased with the end result.
I set a quarter next to her to show how tiny she really is. She definitely revivals the pukipuki heads I've worked on.
Now to take some decent shots of her for documentation and approval.
