Since I have no new work to show, I wanted to show you my current doll family that I also share space with my fiancee's dolls.
As you can see the dolls have switched out and multiplied a lot since I last posted a family picture. Most of the dolls in this picture are mine, except for 5 which belong to my fiancee.
Pretty much all of them feature my handiwork, except for the Dollzone April who all I did with was add freckles to her default face up.
I have one doll on the way who I'm paying off in about two months, and my fiancee has a floating head in need of a body.
This is the compilation of their sculpts, at least for my collection. I have a lot of dolls. Good thing I love them all!
I finally finished up the Dollzone Hazel, and redid my Dollzone Shoyo because her face up was so old. I've had the same face up on her for 2 years, and it definitely was old (it was my 18th and now she's my 132nd). I'm rather happy with her updated look.
Without further ado, here are some detail shots!
The top three are my Dollzone Shoyo, who I've had for a good 2 years now in my collection, so it was time to update her look. The bottom three are the completed Dollzone Hazel who belongs to a friend.
I also wanted to show how I've progressed with her.
The first face up is her default, the second is my 18th, and the third is my 132nd.
I worked more on that Dollzone Hazel head yesterday and today, and I'm almost done with her. I'm going to finish her up tomorrow. I'm also going to teach a friend of mine how to face up in a private workshop. For that I'm going to assemble my little spray booth.
Here she is so far. I balanced out the bright red lips with darker and dramatic eyes. I'm actually happy with how it looks so far.
I'm also going to document the Hujoo Nano Freya either today or tomorrow.
Well, I am getting things done, although slowly. I sent off approval pics of the Hujoo Nano Freya to his owner this afternoon after some finishing touches.
He doesn't have eyes at this point yet, but I'm sure the owner will amend that soon enough.
I also picked up another local commission from a friend on her Dollzone Hazel. She asked for bright red lips on her and gave me free range on the eyes. The head is still very much a work in progress.
It's been a challenge to work on this head, mostly because the lips are so large on this sculpt that they are kind of overpowering bright red. The eyes are far from done, I'm hoping that they'll help pull the face up together and balance it.
