It's been a good while since I have posted a blog entry here, so it's time to amend that! I have been a busy bee since the last post, and I started a new full time job. Currently I am still finding the balance between doing commissions and working full time, so please bear with me. I will be opening slots come April, since I am making good progress through my current commissions.
Dolls I will show today are a Resinsoul Ju, a Doll Leaves Lan, a small MissNekotaku Chibihana, and to finish posting the faceups for February I will also post my Limhwa EOS Nina. This month so far I have finished two faceups, and I have a couple more on my desk to complete. Once that is all done, I will reopen slots.
So without further ado, onto the pictures below the read more break!
First up we have the Resinsoul Ju in normal skin. She was a fun commission as she is based on a WoW Blood Elf. I had a lot of fun painting the lower purple lashes.
This Doll Leaves Lan in normal skin was painted for the same client as the Resinsoul Ju. I actually really really love how her eyebrows turned out, though to be fair, I really like the way I've been able to do eyebrows now. Anyway, I had fun giving this one heavy eyeliner and fluffy eyelashes.
Then here we have the MissNekotaku Chibihana in natural. It wasn't the size of her that made her difficult to paint, but the texture of her 3D printed resin head. She's well worth her price and more at 5cm in height. I sanded the face just a little to try and smooth out the ridges, but I wasn't having much luck.
Either way, she is painted and cute, and I used spare mohair I had and glued it directly to her head. The owner is a dear friend of mine, and she loves how she turned out.
And then last, but certainly not least, is my own Limhwa EOS Nina in normal skin. I've been wanting to redo her for a while, as her realistic face needed more colors on her faceup. Last time her eyebrows turned out much thinner, but I have been on a thick eyebrow kick, so big eyebrows she got. I can still do the super thin yet detailed brows of faceups past, but I just love me some fluffy brows!
And here's the quick before and after of her last and current faceup. Last time I painted her was in 2018, strange how that was 4 years ago now and not like...2 years. These past couple of pandemic years have been hard on all of us, and my sense of time has always been janky. I do wish to live in less interesting times!
Anyway, that's it for now! Someone kick me to post my March faceups still this month, please! Until next time!!
