I've had a busy couple of days where I cranked out a couple commissions, and started on another! I cleaned, sueded, restrung, and blushed a Doll Chateau K-01 body, cleaned and face upped another Dollzone Dale (human bodied this time), and modded some fangs onto a Doll Leaves Laura who will get face upped in the next few days! I'm excited to show the new work!
Without further ado, onto some pictures under the cut!
First up is the DC K-01 body in normal pink skin. I used a lot of pinks and blues to blush her based on a face up reference shot for the colors. I actually really love how the body turned out. The client had done a good job of cleaning the body from the previous owner's blushing, there were just some stubborn creases along the nailbeds and the toes. Got it all clean though!
Next up is another Dollzone Dale, this time in normal pink skin. I was given artist choice and this is what came of it.The jewelry lines are actually super shiny, I really should record a video of the shine!
This Dale had actually belonged to me, but I recently sold her as tinies just aren't for me. She'd been a Christmas gift from my wife in 2014 after I fell in love with one that I painted for a client. I asked her before I sold her, she said it was fine (and I've kept just about every other doll she's gifted me). She's only the second doll I've sold that was a gift from my wife!
Either way, 4.5 years make quite a difference in face up skills! I'm almost sad to send her off to her new owner, but only almost. I know she'll be loved dearly there!
And last, but certainly not least, we have the Doll Leaves Laura with her teeny tiny fang mod I did. It took a lot of trial and error to do the mod as the head is puny. My Apoxie Sculpt wasn't sticky enough, glue wouldn't shape, same with gloss, but the Milliput I have finally worked! I had to use a needle to shape the fangs. Either way, she's gonna be turned into a gothic beauty in the next couple of days!
That's all from me for now, until next time!
