Thank you so much to everyone that took advantage of my birthday sale, it makes me really happy to have such a positive response. You guys are really making me feel loved! I am about to close slots again until I work through all these commissions that are incoming. I have the best clients I swear!
Anyway, I have a lot of new work to show! Today I will show the detail shots of the Dream Valley Zhao and his fantasy parts, a set of Doll Family-H SD sized male jointed hands, a Lillycat Lyse, my MYOU DouDou, a Felix Doll Brownie NeNe, and a Dollzone Miss Kitty and her ears.
Without further ado, onto some pictures under the read more break!
First up is the Dream Valley Zhao and his fantasy parts in white skin. I had a lot of fun with the detailing of the fur pattern on this face. I was at first nervous to add the gold, but it actually works really well!
Those that follow me on Instagram already saw the video, but here it is again. The video is really needed to show the gold detailing properly. Pictures just do not do it justice. Sadly the videos are always so small, but you guys get the idea I'm sure!
Then here we have a pair of DF-H SD Male jointed hands in white, but color matched to a more creamy white instead, plus a mani/pedicure. It's always tricky blushing jointed hands, but it looks so nice.
Next up we have a Lillycat/Cerisedolls Lyse in caramel skin. Her owner wanted her restrung, sueded, a new faceup, and her shoes got painted black instead of red. I went for a femme fatale look, it suits this sculpt so well! I always enjoy working on Lillycat dolls, even if I'd never own one myself, I enjoy looking at them.
Let's continue on with the faceup on the MYOU Doll DouDou in 1/6 scale in normal pink skin. She arrived looking so incredibly sad with her default faceup, so I was happy to redo it. Poor thing isn't supposed to look like she's about to cry. And yes, the yellow/orange coloring of her eyebrows and lashes are on purpose as her wig is bright yellow and orange (which can be seen in the Owner Pictures gallery).
This tiny Felix Doll Brownie NeNe in normal skin has a head the size of a grape. It's always an interesting challenge to work on such a tiny head. Her previous default faceup had faded with age considerable, so the owner, a friend of mine, asked me to redo her. I was happy to do so of course. I love making dolls shine!
Here's the before and after of the two faceups, see what I mean? There was barely any coloring left on her. I also wired the little body to keep her from trying to break dance constantly. Now she is rock solid though!
Then last, but certainly not least, is the Dollzone Miss Kitty in peach skin. She's paired with the Dream Valley Zhao above. Her colors are pink, purple, and gold. I really like how she turned out, even if a good portion of my desk and keyboard are now purple due to stray pastel dust. I made the eyes as well.
So that's it for today, if you made it all the way to the bottom, thank you for reading! I know this was a lot of work to dump at once, but I wanted to get it out of the way.
Eitherway, thank you for being the best clients and readers I could ever ask for!
