Hello everyone and I hope you all had a great start into the new year. Mine was a bit rocky due to frequent illnesses, but I am finally on the mend so I was able to get some face ups done, but only two sadly. I have a couple other things started, but the weather's been abysmal and wet, and work has started up again too so time has been limited.
Anyway, the two heads I painted were a Doll Family-A Susu (for myself) and a Luts KDF Mill. Both needed color matches to different company resins.
Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break!
First up is the Doll Family-A Susu in normal yellow skin, who I darkened to match Dollzone normal yellow skin from 2015. I'm still up on the fence about his fab lashes, but Val is a vampire lord, so he's allowed to be flashy.
I tried taking the pictures differently than usual (without the beige cloth I normally use) and I really don't like it.
And here we have the first commission to be worked on in 2020. This Luts KDF Mill was a rather yellowed normal skin, and needed to be matched to Fairyland natural skin. She sure got glammed up this girl! She's currently on her way back to her owner. I can't wait to see a picture of her on her body!
The match is really good in person, I'm rather proud of it! Her head cap is her original color before I painted her. Man... color matching would be soooo much easier if I knew how to airbrush, heh...
I might have to invest in a new camera this year, as my current one (Canon Rebel 3Ti) has difficulties catching the true colors of things and I end up color and lighting correcting in photoshop a lot. But that is something for me to save up towards.
That's all from me for now, until next time!
