I'm a little late to posting the work of June, but as they say, better late than never!
I was a busy bee this past month, completing 4 faceups, a full body blush, an extensive chest and arm tattoo and some fantasy parts. One faceup (MYOU 1/6 Gina) I cannot show as the sealant bubbled right before I took documentation pictures. I did document it, but wiped it shortly after. I will redo it during this month, the client is alright with this. Anyway, on the list to share is a Dream Valley Apocalypse Horseman Withered, a YBee Doll Nora and her body, and last but not least is a Luts Kid Delf Zuzu Corni, her fantasy parts (ears and tail), and her body (Luts KDF Girl Romantic Body), which also received a mani/pedicure. So without ado, onto the pictures and ramblings under the cut!

As many of you have already seen, I have reopened commissions a week ago on my birthday. I am still open to accepting a few more slots, so if you need a faceup from within the EU, please don't hesitate to reach out to me!
I was a busy bee in March, so I got quite a few more things to show to finish up the month with work I've completed. There's 2 faceups and 3 body blushes, so please be aware there is doll nudity in this post. Today I will share a Granado 15Ascent Ninth and his body, a Maskcat Doll 2020 Anniversary Event Cat doll, and the biggest of my commissions this round, a Dollzone Chun who got the full treatement including mods. So without further ado, onto the pictures under the read more break! It's been a long time since I've posted a blog entry on here, despite having plenty to share. I was gone for 6 weeks spanning through January and February, and got horribly sick again upon getting home. At least I've been healthy this March and have been making up for it!
First and foremost, the FYI: I am finally getting ready to reopen my commission slots, and am planning to open them on my birthday, which is coming up this Saturday, April 1st. This year I'll likely not be doing a sale for that as the cost of living has risen drastically. Speaking of that, I will be raising my base prices by €5-10, as it's been a while since I last did an increase and to be honest, I undercharge for my skill and experience level. This increase won't come until mid April, and of course I will honor all existing estimates. So get your commission forms ready for the next weekend! Now that that's out of the way, here's the list of sculpts I will share work on today: Faceup and body blushing on a FateMoons Puu, faceup on a Dollzone Scorpio, Simply Divine Richard, and a body blushing on a Fairyland MNF A-Line Muscular Boy body with two sets of hands and tattoos. I have more but don't want to make this post eternally long. Also fair warning, there is doll nudity towards the end of this post! Without further ado, onto some pictures! 2021 has come and gone, and we are 3 days into 2022. What a year 2021 was too... I got severe burnout, caught covid, lost my job, my wife lost her job, rebuilt my mental health, established goals for my future and how I want to proceed, and generally I focused on myself. I'm grateful we had the resources for me to do so.
Dollwise I wasn't as proactive as in previous years, as I only managed 30 faceups in 2021, and 39 in 2020. These two last years have been really hard on everyone. I did manage to crank out a couple more things in December 2021, so I will post those now. I got to finish painting the Iplehouse HID Woman hands, Miracle Doll 1/4 Girl hands, Sugarble Darlene, Dollpamm Loli girl body, a Fairyland RLF Luna, and a Fairyland MNF Miyu. Be prepared for a long post. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the break! I've been really dropping the ball here, and I want to apologize for that. 2020 has been getting to me like everyone else, and the weather as well as my day job have been wearing me down. But, I am still trying to work through my backlog.
This post will show a lot of new work, such as the Resinsoul Twilight centaur body, Resinsoul Dai body, jointed hands in SD and MSD size from Resinsoul, a Fairyland MNF Dark Elf Soo, and my Doll in Mind Bellosse. Without further ado, onto the pictures under the cut! I've been hard at work on the Dollshe Hound body and have finished the upper body so far. I will need to take him apart again and suede him to keep him from scratching the tattoos immediately. All that's left now are his mile long legs and feet.
Currently I'm taking a break from him (which the client is fine with) as I need to figure out how to paint his massive legs, and the best way of sealing them to keep the tattoos lined up. Meanwhile I received another doll to paint, an Unoa Alchemy Lusis who needs a face up removal and a face up/body blush/mani/pedicure. Without further ado, onto some pictures under the read more break! Now that my mother is back home, I jumped head first back into working on commissions. I also shipped out all the finished ones I had on me and they are all homeward bound now! These past couple of days I've been slaving away on the Dollshe Hound body (from the Dollshe Saint head), mapping out a full body tattoo. So far his back is done, arms are in the coloring stage, and his chest tattoo is mapped!
Without further ado, onto some pictures under the read more break! Finally got around to finishing up my last two commissions, and I did some website maintenance as well. I updated my logo (minimal changes) and redid every page's banner with new images! The two dolls I worked on are a DikaDoll Mudan who only got some elf ears from me, and another Doll Family-A Luca that got tattoos all over! Without further ado, onto some pictures! First up is the DikaDoll Mudan with a face up from another artist, and an elf ear addition by me. The client wanted her to have ears similar to Doll Leaves Theresa, so I did my best to mimic them, just with more detail. I then blushed them to match! And here we have the Doll Family-A Luca I painted for a client. They wanted me to base her paint job on cherry blossom stained glass, so that was a fun challenge! She turned out lovely in my opinion and I barely had to make any corrections.
Anyway, I'm out of commissions currently, so now is the time to contact me if you want a face up from me still at my current pricing. Until next time! I was a busy bee again. I painted my April Story Betty's other arm (just one tattoo though, not a whole sleeve this time), and I finally had a commission come in, an Angell Studio Hong Yu in normal pink skin. I have a couple more commissions lined up, just waiting on them to be shipped my way! Anyway, without further ado, onto some pictures! Here's my April Story NB-SD16 body's right arm with a lovely tattoo of a mermaid. That tattoo is so small as the arm is 1/3 scale! I used a mechanical pencil for the lines, and the colors were added with pastels and a little bit of watercolor pencils. I'm really happy with the outcome! Just a small shot of what I've customized on her. I'm still debating adding some tattoos to her hips to peek out above her pants. I think that would look cute, maybe some jellyfish? And here we have the Angell Studio Hong Yu. I'm really happy with how she came out. I was working with the client in real time to get the face up as close to their vision as I could. They sent me several screenshots of their character, and I feel she's really close! I also made her some eyes real quick while the client searches for the perfect eyes for her!
That's all from me for now, until next time! Now that I've been back over a week from my vacation trip to Turkey with my dad, his girlfriend, and my wife, I can finally get back to painting dolls! Before I left I painted my wife's Aimerai QT Melodie in white skin, and when I got back I repainted my own Soom FC Chrom in bronze and I gave my April Story Betty on the NB-SD16 body a tattoo on the left arm and manicure. Without further ado, onto some pictures! First up is my wife's Aimerai QT Melodie. This thing was truly a pain in the butt to work on... She does not like to stand or pose very well, and keeps flipping her wings around. And then my wife gave me a difficult concept to work with... carousel horse. I did my best, and she turned out cute, but boy am I glad she's done! I even gave her little earrings, and a mohair mane and tail! Here's my Soom FC Chrom in bronze with his new face up. I really like the blushing a lot more this time around. His last face up wasn't bad, but he'd chipped the eyebrows by face-planting too often (old SG Soom body, it really can't pose very well...) and he got a new wig. Here's the comparison to his last face up compared to his current one. He fought me bitterly on his eyebrows and eyelashes, but I persevered and won the war in the end... It took me like an hour of painting and redoing the eyebrows over and over. I even had to take a break because he was being that stubborn about them! I really need to get better white paint... In the Owner Gallery is a picture of him with his wig and body. Poor thing is unevenly yellowed at this point, but I still love him, uneven coloring and all! And now, last but not least, are the hands and the left arm of my April Story NB-SD16 girl body. I slaved over that tattoo for at least 6-7 hours, but probably longer. I did it in stages over the course of two days. Now I just need to tattoo her right arm too, but all in due time. This is the first full sleeve tattoo I've ever done and the first full color one to boot. I'm debating adding a fake ring onto her hand as she's a married character, but I don't have her husband so it feels moot to do it. Maybe this is when they were still dating and her college days. Yeah, I'll go with that! Here she is, and she definitely needs something on her other arm too, and maybe some cute little tattoos on her hips! I may also swap out her eyelashes for nicer blue ones that I got in from Taobao. I think that would look nice on her!
Anyway, that's all for now, I'm still open for commission and won't be raising my prices until summer so now is as good of a time as any to message me! Until next time! I was a busy bee the last week and finished up a gift for my sister, and a commission from a dear friend of mine. For my sister I worked on a Doll Family-A Mon and for my friend I painted their PinkVetch Voador flying pig and his mask. Without further ado, onto some pictures! Here's the Doll Family-A Mon in normal pink skin. I went with a stylized approach for him as his sculpting is very stylized. My sister asked me to write "Affe" (German word for Monkey) on his belly as a joke, but I did it anyway. I'll be handing him over to her in the next couple of days as he's her first and only BJD! Then here is my friend's PinkVetch Voador flying pig with mask in white skin. I easily spent over 4 hours in one sitting painting him and I wasn't done! I was given artist choice, so I picked some colors I know my friend likes and went with that. I actually really love how he turned out. I can't wait to see some owner pictures!
Also, I still have plenty of slots open. I decided to put off raising my prices for now. So if you have a head rolling around at home in need of a face up and like my style, please don't hesitate to message me! Until next time! I managed to finish up working on a manicure and tattoo job on a Fairyland MNF arm and #6 hands. I was given free reign with the tattoo as long as it was henna-looking, but the design was completely up to me. I had a lot of fun with it and added a small ring to the other hand. Without further ado, let's get some pictures! Here's first some details of the manicure and ring mod I did on the hands. I had a lot of fun with both, the ring mod was very easy and fun to do. This is actually the first time I've ever worked on MNF hands, and I even used to own one! I'm silly I know, but generally I don't really blush my own dolls hands or bodies. Then finally here are the detail shots of the henna tattoo I did on the right arm and hand. I can't wait to see this on the doll! Fortunately I do know I will as the client is a friend of mine and I love seeing her dolls!
I also started working on the Doll Chateau Larry and am almost done with the Doll Chateau Jakov. I just have to deepen the color on his wings and the Larry I had to stop working on as it started to rain so I couldn't seal. The bane of a face up artist, the unfavorable weather! Anyway, that's all from me for now! Have a lovely rest of your weekend guys! I finished up two commissions today, one that I have had for ages sitting with me from a friend that had given me artistic license to do whatever I wanted to on her Dollmore Gem Doll Dona. I also worked on another friend's Dollzone June. Now for some pictures of the two! First up we have the Dollzone June. My friend wanted her to have freckles and I gave her some of my premium eyelashes, which are pretty but such a pain to put on. They are actually human fake eyelashes that I simply trim to doll sized. Rather sad that this sculpt is discontinued... Then here we have the Dollmore Basic Gem Doll Dona in normal skin. She's actually a fairy, but every time I tried to make her fairy like it just didn't look good, so finally I went with a biker look and it clicked. The head is minuscule, as are her hands. Putting that tattoo on her was a challenge because of her voluptuous nature.
Either way, that leaves me with only one commission now, a Doll Family-A Fox. So tell your friends about my shop if they're looking to commission someone to paint one of their lovelies! I managed to get one commission done, a face up and body blush with a tiny tattoo on a Hujoo Nano Rabi. She is super cute, and my new way of working made the detailing much easier. Sadly my grey didn't want to stick to the ABS very well... ![]() See? Teeny tiny shooting star tattoo on the back. I recently got a new micro liner brush and it is amazing for eyelashes and minuscule detail work. The Hujoo Nano's are only about 12cm big, so you can imagine this body his very tiny. Another commission arrived on Monday, a Fairyland MNF Juri 2013. She's very cute and I'm glad I got to see one in person. Either way, today is my birthday so I won't be working on dolls today. I'll be celebrating my quarter of a century milestone. Thanks for understanding! I finally finished working on the Sweet Dolls Fairy Alexa the other day and finally documented the work. I'm just worried about getting it back to the owner because I have no contact info for her. She handed her to me at the last doll meet, and I tried to get the day off from work for the next one, but I was denied. So now I need to try and get one of my local friends who can go to take her with and return her to the owner (she already paid me). Now for some pictures! In other news, a pipe burst in two places in my apartment the other day, so a lot of my stuff is MIA in the mess from shoving everything into one corner. The radiator spewed hot water all over the carpet, so currently we have a giant hold in our wall, and a flying carpet due to it being dried now. So art is on hold for now, but I do have all my face up stuff accounted for so that shouldn't be a problem.
It's also bitter cold again, so I'm going to have a hard time getting the DC Dolores done with the college being closed today to non-students. I kinda need that so I can spray MSC safely. I might try the airbrush method since I have one, just no clue how to use it! |
Iza's Face UpsWelcome to the blog area of my site. Here you get to see my progress shots and the such of what I work on. Also I post news here. Enjoy! To Do List:
