When I just got into doing face ups, a friend of mine got her first doll, a Resinsoul Ju in white. After a while she asked me to do a face up on her, so I did, making her my first commission.
It's amazing how different a face up can make a doll. I've mentioned it before, but the default BBB/RS face ups are so lifeless.
It's kind of funny how this doll is two landmarks for me. She's my first commission, and she ended up being my 50th face up as well. I've improved quite a bit since then, and I'll get better still.
Oh, and my plate is pretty empty at the moment, so if you have someone that needs a new face or a body blush, don't hesitate to message me!
A little view of the face up work I did today. The first is a patch job, the middle is my 50th face up, and the last is a Monster High doll I got for christmas that I was finally able to paint.
I had some good friends come over last night, and they each brought me a doll to face up. I managed to finish one of them, an RS Pixiu in sky blue. She told me to have fun.
This is the result:
He's a handsome fellow. I decided to keep him more simple than anything, but I'm happy (as is the commissioner) with him.
I still have another commission to do, a grey skin Hujoo Freya. She's going to be gorgeous! Such a fun little doll to play with.
Finished up another commission for a friend of mine, her little Resinsoul Yu. She's waiting on her wig now, and eventually her proper eyes. She's a little seeing eye fairy.
Her default RS face up gave her no justice, she is so much cuter with a custom one and I'm thrilled I got to be the one to work on her! She's also puny, but not as tiny as a pukipuki, which is what I get to work on next.
This was the first face up I ever did back in July 2011. I did receive help with this one on the eyebrows and eyelashes, but everything else I did myself.
I'm still really proud of this face up, especially as a first. She's currently a floating head because I didn't like her body... at all, so she gets to hang out with some other floaters, but she is destined for a new body!
