I hope everyone in the US had a good Memorial Day on Monday! I sure did. I managed to do two face ups this past weekend, one on a Supia Doll Hael, and the other was on a Fairyland MNF WooSoo. For the Hael I also painted a little heart along her bust, but no blushing as the owner asked me not to.
Anyway, onto some pictures!
First up, the Supia Hael in normal skin. I'm really proud of this face up as I feel I'm getting better at smokey eyes!
Then we have the Fairyland MNF WooSoo in natural skin. He's an old boy from 2009 and is in the old natural skin that is also yellowed at this point due to age. He's still a lovely one regardless!
Oh! If you haven't yet, go over to the Owner Pictures, I got some new ones sent my way from past clients and they are oh so cute to see put together!
That's all from me for now, until next time!
This weekend was a little less productive than last, but I still got some things done and a WIP to show!
I finished up the third part of a three part commission, the Paper & Sakura Kazarai cat in black resin. She was a bit of a challenge to work on as my pastels were fighting me on showing up on her, so I mostly stuck to paint, but even that was fighting me. In the end I am pleased with the outcome though!
Here are the pictures of the Kazarai. She and the other two heads are on their way home now! I can't wait to see some owner pictures of the lot!
Now I also have a WIP, a long time one. I'm almost done with the Doll Chateau Jakov finally. Just a couple more layers of pastels along the body and he's ready to go home too.
The weather hasn't been favorable these last two days, but I am determined to get things done!
Now for the FYI:
I decided to add an FAQ section to my site. I'll still expand on it as I go along, but I've been debating putting one up for a while. I also put in a little blurb about myself too, just to put a face to the name. If you have any other questions you think I could answer on here, whether basic BJD related or something about me, feel free to comment or send me a note through my contact page!
That's all for now, until next time!
This last weekend was very productive for me! I finished 3 face ups (two of which I already posted), and I'm hoping to do more through out this week before the next weekend. On Sunday I worked on and finished up on Monday morning an Impldoll Ives in real skin.
Let's show some pictures!
He has like the cutest big smile I've ever seen on a YoSD with cute little fangs. It's kind of funny how the last 3 face ups all included freckles. Out of the last 10 I've done, 5 of them had freckles. I'm also up to 242 face ups now! I'm almost at my goal for this year, which is 250 and we're not even halfway through the year yet.
Anyway, I'm expecting one more 3 part commission, and I need to finish the Paper & Sakura Kazarai cat and then I can send that 3 part commission home. That's all for now from me, until next time!
This weekend has been productive so far for me! I had a friend fly in from out of town on Wednesday and she just left this morning. I mostly ran around with her, but I did get to do two face ups as well as she wanted to see the process behind it.
I worked on a three part commission (2 BJD heads plus a BJD pet). I managed to finish the two face ups, and then this week I'll be tackling the Paper Sakura Kazarai, who is black resin. The heads are a Souldoll Vito Han in sandy brown and a Fantasy Doll Charlotte in normal pink.
Anyway, onto some pictures!
First up is the Souldoll Han in sandy brown skin, which is quite a lovely light tan color. The eyebrows are not completely even on purpose.
Then next up we have the Fantasy Doll Charlotte in normal pink. She's meant to be the daughter of the Han. Both were a lot of fun to work on. I just love doing freckles. Makes me wish more of my dolls had them, but they really don't. Currently only my doll Mel (DC Snow Nymph) has freckles in my collection. Oh well! Not the end of the world
Either way, I'm still waiting on a couple commissions to arrive. Right now I have about a week's time before I can accept anymore. That's all from me now!
I actually finished and posted this one a few days ago, but I haven't gotten around to making a blog post yet, oops!
Either way, I got to work on a Dollzone Vita in white skin. Next I will have to do her body, and the Doll Chateau Jakov's as well. My wife and I have been spring cleaning a lot so face ups have been difficult to do. We're almost done though, only the kitchen is left!
Without further ado, detail shots!
She's such a grumpy face. Reminds me a bit of my evil ballet teacher from when I was 11 years old. Either way, this girl is prettier than her.
