I have a lot of work to show from the past couple of weeks! I've posted the collages already on the Example page, but I haven't gotten around to updating the blog here. But, that is being remedied now!
Dolls I worked on were a Kids Sky Gold, Myou Vera, and two Doll Family-A Luca dolls that belong to two different owners! Without further ado, onto some pictures!
First up is the Kids Sky Gold in normal pink skin. He's meant to be an albino boy and sadly his eyelashes got a little messy from swapping them too often... In the end though he's still cute!
Then here we have a Myou Vera in normal skin. He's absolutely adorable and I love how his eyelashes turned out. I played up the soft smile the sculpt has with paint. He barely gave me any trouble while painting!
Next up is the first Doll Family-A Luca in white skin. This one is based on a fallow deer. He turned out cute at least even if he was a bit of a pain to work on haha!
And here's the last little Doll Family-A Luca in white skin that I worked on. I went with a galaxy theme for the client. There's lots of sparkles all over!
Now for the FYI:
In about a week or two I'll reopen for commissions, but with limited slots. Due to my demanding job I can't devote as much time to painting dolls as I have in the past. I already have two slots filled for sure, but I'll have 2 more opening. I only have a Dollzone Scorpio left to paint from the last batch of commissions, so that's exciting!
That's all from me for now, until next time!
I was a busy bee the last week and finished up a gift for my sister, and a commission from a dear friend of mine. For my sister I worked on a Doll Family-A Mon and for my friend I painted their PinkVetch Voador flying pig and his mask.
Without further ado, onto some pictures!
Here's the Doll Family-A Mon in normal pink skin. I went with a stylized approach for him as his sculpting is very stylized. My sister asked me to write "Affe" (German word for Monkey) on his belly as a joke, but I did it anyway. I'll be handing him over to her in the next couple of days as he's her first and only BJD!
Then here is my friend's PinkVetch Voador flying pig with mask in white skin. I easily spent over 4 hours in one sitting painting him and I wasn't done! I was given artist choice, so I picked some colors I know my friend likes and went with that. I actually really love how he turned out. I can't wait to see some owner pictures!
Also, I still have plenty of slots open. I decided to put off raising my prices for now. So if you have a head rolling around at home in need of a face up and like my style, please don't hesitate to message me!
Until next time!
I finally documented the two previous face ups I posted, and did 3 more! That means I have a lot of pictures to post into this blog post.
First up is the Doll Family-A Fox in white skin. He was a lot of fun to work on and very simple too. I like how he turned out.
Second is my little sea monkey Pearl who is a Dollzone Dale on the human body in normal skin pink. She turned out a lot more elaborate than I though. Maybe she's a princess of sea monkeys?
Then we have a Dollshe Pabo in oriental skin. I really like the feel of Dollshe resin, it reminds me of Limhwa almost!
Finally last, but not least, we have the OE and SA heads of a Dollshe Ausley. I still have to blush her bust and her hands, but then she's fully done as well. Very lovely doll, I'm glad I got to work on one!
I'm also 1 face up away from 160, then I will FINALLY post my face up collage again. It's been forever since I've posted one...
On my weekend I did finally manage to have some time to face up, but I only managed to do 2 out of many I need to do.
The first I did is a fox face up on a Doll Family-A Fox. I still need to document him properly, but have a preview image! He's in white skin and this was him freshly glossed on my table.
And then I took a short break to paint my Christmas doll I got from my SO. She is a Dollzone Dale on the human body in normal skin pink. I'll still need to work on her body, but that won't be until I'm done with all of my commissions.
Both face ups still need to be documented to be properly added as examples. I'm hoping to soon work on the rest of the commissions I have accumulated.
