I managed to finish up the two face ups from the last post, and the body/fantasy blush for the Doll Chateau Jakov. The Fairyland PukiFee Halloween event faceplate only needed gloss as he was pretty much done. The Jakov needed his lips tweaked, gloss, and his body and fantasy parts blushed.
Without further ado, onto some pictures!
First up is the Fairyland PukiFee Halloween event faceplate from a year or so ago. He's got a certain charm about him! The client asked for natural blush and freckles.
Then we have the Doll Chateau Jakov in white skin, who is a little imp/demon boy. I've worked on one before, but he had a very different theme from this one! I always love how different owners style the same sculpts. I'm rather proud of the wings and tail as I did that all with pastels. One day I may learn to use an airbrush, but for now, pastels and brush work well for me!
I will end this post with a full body picture of the Jakov all put together. I can't wait to see what the owner will do with him and the Halloween faceplate!
I have some new work to show from the weekend, but it's still very much WIP. I started on a Fairyland PKF Halloween Event face plate from a year or so ago, and on another Doll Chateau Jakov. The PKF is almost done, the Jakov's face I have to tweak a little and start on the body/fantasy blushing.
The PKF just needs gloss now, while the Jakov needs his lips redone, which shouldn't be too big of a task. I love how different both of these look from the previous times I've worked on these sculpts.
My work schedule has been crazy again this week as one of our closing receptionists quit on the spot, so we're trying to figure out the coverage for those two days as there's only two of us who can work then, and we're both openers. We'll figure it out until someone new gets hired and trained in.
Anyway, until next time!
I was a busy bee this weekend and did 3 face ups in 2 days! Not the most I've ever managed, but still a good chunk. I redid the Impldoll Tony because the face up didn't fully suit the character, so I didn't mind the redo.
Then I also finally got around to painting the Fairyland PukiFee Halloween Event faceplate, but I wasn't able to document her other than a few iPad pictures because I forgot my camera. And last but not least I worked on a Migidoll Jean, who turned out lovely as well.
Enough blathering and onto some pictures!
Look at how handsome the Impldoll Tony is now, his eyebrows and lashes match his wig much much better now. Also I'll forever struggle at positioning silicone eyes. End of story.
And here we have a Migidoll Jean in NS-A, and she's quite lovely. I had fun working on her, she has very good resin. All the pastels blended very nicely. Again, the plight of positioning silicone eyes struck me.
And then last, but not least, is the little Fairyland PukiFee Halloween event faceplate. This is only my second sugar skull face up, and it looks much much better than my first. I'll need to document her better at the next meet!
