I have a lot, A LOT, of new work to show. I'd been struggling through June with bad weather, home office, then returning to the office, but I have gotten some new work to show!
Things I've worked on are a Volks DDH-10, Dream Valley Ann in tan, Angell Studio Cassie, Impldoll Colin, two Goblin Tales Baby Mosslings, and my Dollzone Mann. I also got the Resinsoul Twilight commission continued, but I will post those in a separate post.
Anyway, without further ado, onto the pictures under the break!
First up is the Volks DDH-10 head, at least that's what I think it is. I painted her for a dear friend who got her secondhand. She also got a quick arm tattoo to turn her into Nami from One Piece. I really need to practice anime style face ups more...
Then here we have my Dream Valley Ann in tan skin, poor thing looks like spray tan orange. I was pretty disappointed in the color, especially after paying $60 extra for tan and getting... orange. Also her face up is already chipping, so I gotta redo it sooner than later. So far though I haven't bothered redoing it yet, I got too many commissions and blank dolls of my own that need a face up in general.
Back to commissions! This one is an Angell-Studio Cassie in tan skin. This one is actually a gorgeous tan in real life, and not bright orange. The client here asked me to try and replicate a specific release company face up for this doll. It was an interesting challenge, while still keeping my own signature hand in there. We are both pleased with how she turned out!
Then here we have an Impldoll Colin, who had been modded from a boy to a girl by previous owner. She arrived looking as if she were covered in green stains, but they pretty much all came off with my usual cleaning methods. Now she's a sweet little freckles girl ready to return to her owner!
Then here we have two Goblin Tales Baby Mosslings, painted for a dear friend's kids. They let the kids pick out the themes for these two babies, and then I painted them. They turned out lovely I think (and so do the kiddos!)
Then here we have my Dollzone Mann in peach skin, that finally arrived about 2 or so weeks ago after being bought in stock and traveling 60 days in the post to get to me (I bought her from DDE and she was shipped priority). I didn't really have a good concept for painting her, but I love how she turned out. The pink lacing on her cheeks shimmers blue. I love Coliro Shimmer infused watercolors, they shine even throught sealant!
I'm getting ready to re-open slots in a week, and have all dolls arrive by the week of July 13th, as I have vacation then and can devote time to working on dolls. I sure missed it!
But that's all from me for now, until next time!
