I'm so excited! The person who commissioned the Impldoll Kare stuck her under the shower for a fun little shoot, and the face up held up! That is so amazing to know. He takes really fun pictures of his dolls.
I love that shot. I got permission from him to repost it on my website here and I really wanted to share it.
His pictures can be found on his DeviantArt.
As the title says, I took some good shots of my last commission. She is an Impldoll Kare in dark tan and a voodoo queen. She was a lot of fun to work on.
I was asked to make the skull look old, so I mixed various grays and browns into the white to create a gritty feel to her. I was sent with a description for what he wanted her to look like, which was immensely helpful. I am quite pleased with the outcome, as is the commissioner. She's going home today after only arriving on Wednesday.
Now for the News bit.
I've been trying to crank out the commissions a bit faster because I have so many coming in, and I'm leaving for Europe in a few weeks. Which means that I can't take on any commissions that are mailed after December 14th to my place, because I leave on the 22nd of December until January 6th. And after that I'm going to have surgery so my shop will be closed for a month to a month and a half, because I won't be able to drive on heavy pain killers and need to recover. Thanks for understanding.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all have something to be thankful for.
I'm thankful for my family and friends, my loving partner, those that I love and love me in return, my two cats, and I am thankful for having such wonderful people commissioning me.
I currently have a lot of commissions coming my way. Two arrived yesterday (one was a surprise from a friend who doesn't even know yet what she wants), and I managed to paint one this morning.
This is the one I worked on, an Impldoll Kare in dark tan. She's a voodoo queen. I haven't taken proper detail shots yet because I'm awaiting approval.
Either way, I'm about to head off to spend thanksgiving with my family in the states and my partner.
I hope everyone else has a wonderful day too, whether or not you celebrate Thanksgiving.
